River Striped Bass Trips

We are now offering guided striped bass trips down the Chattahoochee River from May-August. The striped bass population down in middle GA (West Point Lake) has steadily grown as the DNR continues to stock striped bass in that reservoir. Once the warm late spring temperatures begin to climb into the 80’s, the West Point stripers make their home up the Chattahoochee River for the entire summer. They have plenty of cool water and lots of food since there are plenty of trout for them to feed on from the Delayed Harvest stockings over the winter. The fish are big and strong as fishing for stripers in a river current will feel similar to that of salt water striper fishing (only without the rocking boat). Intermediate lines are the best choice and rods in the 8 and 9 weight category are recommended. All fishing will be out of my G3 aluminum skiff powered by a Yamaha jet drive.

• Raingear (if inclement weather)
